PathPoint consists of a collection of features based around a core kiosk software platform.
Features include: wayfinding, advertising, and search, among other things. Custom features might include integration with specific hardware such as an autodialer and handset, gift card dispenser, coupon printer, etc...
Since PathPoint is a platform we can deliver a solution for your organization by plugging in different features to each install. The appearance of each installation is different but the basic core is the same, allowing maintenance to be much more straightforward than if they were truly separate applications.
Landmarking
In developing PathPoint we've done an extensive amount of research into how people orient themselves in space. The result: Landmarking, a technology that that incorporates line-of-sight visual cues into the ActiveMap display, for example, "Head toward the Gap, turn left, and go to the McDonalds."
Landmarking not only provides important visual cues to help people orient themselves in space, but can also incorporate advertising into the process. Neat, huh?
Search
We allow people to look for destinations by searching for them, or selecting a category of destination. In the case of a Mall categories might be Menswear, Restaurants, etc...
When searching by keyword we can include a tagging feature. For instance the tag "shoes" might be added to Joe's Shoes, and Footlocker. That way a user searching for shoes sees both stores in their search results. Advertisements can be tagged as well, in the above example an ad for Converse might be shown in the search.

ActiveMap (Wayfinding)
ActiveMap is an interactive map that shows users how to get from point A to point B, perhaps with a stop along the way. In most cases it is presented as a floor plan. Locations are divided into two main categories: destinations, which can be searched for or looked up in a category, and amenities which are always available to the user. Examples:

EventPublish (Ad Scheduling)
Schedule advertisements during the PathPoint screen saver with EventPublish. If you aren't in the market for the entire PathPoint package we can offer EventPublish as a stand alone ad scheduling service for a more classic digital signage solution.
Banner Ads
Place banners with text, images, animations, or video nearly anywhere within the PathPoint user interface.
Banners can be linked to destinations: touch a Converse ad and get directions to the participating Foot Locker.
LivePublish
Use LivePublish to publish community bulletin boards, information about services you offer, announcements... in fact, nearly anything that you usually spend money to print.
